Sketch of sides

First we saws the sides out of 27mm plywood. Here we prefer to use the table circular saw, if need be a portable circular saw or a jigsaw will do. If you only have a jigsaw you may have to touch up the sides with a plane.

Next step is the milling and drilling of the sides. For that we make a mould with the measurements of the sides. The bore for the bearings in the mould has the diameter of the case of the cutter. Ball feed and ball slide must be enlarged in proportion to the size of the cutter case.
The mould is secured to the sides by means of clamp hooks. In order to prevent the backside from shifting, we put a piece of chipboard underneath.

By means of a 16mm router we make the openings for the ball feed and the ball slide.
