The playfield is made of one 29mm board of MDF. We use contact adhesive to reinforce the playfield on both sides with 0,8mm HPL. This reinforcement will prevent the board from warping later on.

Sketch

First the MDF- and HPL-boards are cut out. We allow 1-2 cm lengthwise and breadthwise, so that the boards measure about 121cm x 70cm.

With a serrated spatula we evenly apply contact adhesive on the MDF-board and on the back of the laminate board. Give it 15 minutes to dry. The upper layer of the glue should feel dry .

When the glue has slightly dried, we put the HPL accurately on the MDF-board. We have to work very carefully, shifting may well be impossible afterwards. Next, by means of a pinch roller or a rubber hammer, we press it tight. The sturdiness depends on the force of the pressure rather than on its duration.
