To make sure the ball doesn't halt on the rim later on, we have to slightly heighten the bands. For that purpose we make an incision into the playfield by means of a biscuit jointer or a circular saw. The distance from the surface of the playfield measures 3 mm. The sawcut must be 2,5 to 3,0 cm deep.

In the grooves we glue in wedges, as we did in the corners.

The band has been heightened just so that the ball doesn't halt on the rim. The bevelled edge of 2 mm hardly makes the ball deviate at "wallies" (shots via the walls).
Now the playfield is put in the body. Through the side holes we indicate the openings for the sill plate links with a pencil.
